Fall Athletics Reminder


With the school year right around the corner, this is a reminder about the REQUIRED ITEMS to participate in fall activities (this includes all tryouts, practices, and co-curricular activities…sports, etc.). If these items are not complete as practices and tryouts begin, your student will be held out.

1. Completed Registration Contract (LHSA Portal Link)

  • This includes selecting your desired tuition plan for the year

2. Online Forms Pack (LHSA Portal Link)

  • Emergency contacts, medical info, student accident insurance, and more

  • If you have not completed the registration contract (shown in step #1), you will not receive the online forms pack

3. MHSAA Physical (Form Link)

  • Must be on-file with the school office

  • If you MUST, you may bring this the first day of fall activities

PLEASE NOTE: Students must not have a prior-year balance on tuition to participate. In addition, everyone needs to have made at least one tuition payment for the 2019-2020 school year before participating in any fall activities. Tuition payments are now made through your LHSA Portal account. If you need help logging into your LHSA portal account or have questions, please contact LutheranNorth@LHSA.com

Returning students must also be in good academic standing. Talk to your coach if you have questions.

Cross Country

  • Running shoes/clothes

  • Water or sports drinks

Practice Schedule:          

  • Aug. 12-22 - 8:30 AM-10:00 AM, Monday - Friday

New runners, feel free to join in the fun and give Cross Country a try!

(Please bring cash/check, A rep will attend this evening and provide other equipment needs: chin straps, girdles, socks, etc)

  • 6:00 PM - Seniors

  • 6:30 PM - Juniors

  • 6:45pm  -  Sophomores

  • 7:30pm  -  Freshmen

Equipment Needed:

  • Mandatory Practice Jersey

  • Padlock $10 (or buy your own)

  • Mouth guard $1 (or buy your own)

  • Mandatory 2 CHSL Prep Bowl tickets per family $20

Practice Schedule:

  • August 12-16 - 4:00 PM-9 PM - All Players (bring tennis shoes, cleats, helmets, mouth guard, girdles, black shorts and practice jersey for first two practices. Shoulder pads and full pads will follow)

  • August 17 - 6:00 PM Family Picnic - 8:00 PM Intrasquad Scrimmage

  • August 19-20 - 4:00 PM-9:00 PM - Practice

  • August 21 - 4:00 PM-7:00 PM - Practice

  • August 22 - TBD - Junior Varsity & Varsity Scrimmage @ Mt. Morris

  • August 23-24 - TBD - Junior Varsity & Varsity Practice

Girls Golf

Equipment Needed:         

  • Proper golf attire (no denim or short shorts)

  • Golf or tennis shoes and Own clubs and balls                    

Tryout Schedule:                                           

  •  August 12-14 - 7:00 AM @ Cracklewood Golf Course (18215 24 Mile Rd, Macomb, MI 48042)

Boys Soccer

Equipment Needed:           

  • Players making the JV & Varsity teams are required to buy practice t-shirts ( $10 each or $40 for all four)

Tryout Schedule:

August 12 & 13 - 8:30 AM-12:30 PM
August 14 - 1:00 PM-4:00 PM

  • Freshmen must wear white t-shirts for the duration of tryouts

  • Sophomores must wear yellow shirts, Juniors must wear red shirts, and Seniors must wear grey colored shirts all three days

  • Athletes will be tested on skills, ability, knowledge, strength, speed, and endurance

  • Bring indoor shoes (in case of rain)

  • Cleats, shin guards, socks, etc.

Mustang Soccer Gathering:                                         

August 17

  • Program/lunch/parent team meeting and 3v3 tournament at LHN

  • All players on JV and varsity ar expected to attend this event.
