  • Lutheran North 16825 24 Mile Rd Macomb, MI 48042 (map)

The Lutheran North community is invited to join us in celebrating the remarkable career and retirement of Cheryl Grobelny, whose 45 years of faithful service have left a lasting impact on generations of students, families, and colleagues.

For nearly five decades, Cheryl has dedicated her life to Christian education and to the mission of Lutheran North. Throughout her career, she has served in many important roles, including Physical Education teacher, coach, and school counselor. In every position, Cheryl has been a source of encouragement, wisdom, compassion, and unwavering commitment to our students’ growth both inside and outside the classroom.

Cheryl began her journey in education after earning her Associate Degree at Concordia University, Ann Arbor in 1978 and her Bachelor of Science in Education from Concordia University, Nebraska in 1981. She later continued her educational pursuits by earning her Master of Science Degree from Eastern Michigan University in 1987 and also a Master of Education from Wayne State University in 1998. Her passion for lifelong learning and student development has been evident throughout her entire career.

Whether on the court, in the classroom, or counseling students through important moments in their lives, Cheryl has faithfully modeled servant leadership and Christian care. Her influence extends far beyond athletics and academics — she has helped shape the hearts, character, and confidence of countless students over the years.

Please join us on Thursday, May 21st during chapel as we give thanks for Cheryl Grobelny’s 45 years of service, leadership, and love for Lutheran North. Her impact will continue to be felt for many years to come.

We look forward to celebrating together!
