Lutheran North Choir Sings at 2019 LHSA Grand Club Dinner

On Monday evening, the Lutheran North Choir and Director Jared Brown filled the 2019 LHSA Grand Club Dinner with beautiful Christmas music! This, 40th Grand Club Dinner was also to the culmination of a year-long celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the Lutheran High School Association in Southeast Michigan. A wonderful evening of enthusiasm for our ministry included remarks from Superintendent Paul Looker, each LHSA Principal, and Rev. Dr. John Herzog. LHSA alums and Lutheran educators, Michael and Andrea Unger (West '68, East ‘70) were honored as the recipients of the 2019 Servant Leadership Award. Please enjoy the video and photo gallery below.

What is The Grand Club? Forty years ago, Dr. Herb Moldenhauer began the Grand Club with a simple challenge to our constituency: Donate $1,000 to help further the ministry of our Lutheran high schools. In the first year, over 50 individuals did exactly that…and more! Thus, began The Grand Club. And many of those individuals have been giving to the ministry of the LHSA ever since! To date, there are over 1,200 Grand Club members with over 10 million in donations! And our Grand Club members keep on giving even after their initial “grand” gift to our schools! Of course, any financial gift given to the Lutheran high school is received with much appreciation; an initial gift of $1,000 is an amazing gift and that’s The Grand Club! Please contact the Lutheran High School Association at 248-856-0240 if you’re interested in becoming a “Grand Club“ member.
