Hi, my name is Ryan Zaporski. I’m originally from Jackson, Wisconsin, but I’ve lived all over the country. I’m passionate about athletics, especially strength and conditioning coaching, and love helping young individuals reach their goals. My coaching journey has taken me from UW–Milwaukee to the University of Wisconsin–Madison with the Badgers football team, then on to the University of Hawaii, Ole Miss, Eastern Michigan University, Howell High School, and now to Lutheran High North, where I’m excited to serve as a PE teacher and continue coaching. My wife, Shannon, and I have two young children, Jack and Mason, with two dogs, Tucker and Maggie.
Please warmly welcome Ryan as a Mustang and get to know him through our Staff Spotlight 20 Questions below!!

Where are you from?
Jackson, Wisconsin
When did you know that you wanted to be in the Lutheran high school environment and what led you to pursue that path?
I was fortunate to attend Lutheran grade school and high school, thanks to my amazing parents. I know the value of a Christian based education and I have always wanted to raise my family in a similar environment. When the opportunity arose to teach at Lutheran High North, I was incredibly grateful and excited. I'm thankful for the chance to grow my family in the same faith-based setting that shaped me.
What’s your favorite Bible verse?
