The Michigan Interscholastic Golf Coaches Association is excited to announce Macomb Lutheran North senior Lauren Timpf as our 2023 Miss Golf!

She stood tallest among a field of outstanding candidates across the state. Lauren averaged a state-best 69.4 in 12 18-hole events on some of the state’s toughest courses. She had 51 birdies and 4 eagles this fall. Lauren twice shot rounds of 65, and was medalist at the Division 3 Lower Peninsula Finals at The Meadows Golf Course in Allendale, shooting 74-67. She medaled in 10 events in fields of 64 to 124 players.

Lauren is the daughter of Ryan and Amy Timpf. She is planning to attend Purdue University next year and play on the women’s golf team.

She is coached by John Cardenas: “Lauren is what high school athletics is all about: integrity, honesty, hard work and leadership. She has all these, but her biggest attribute is her graciousness. She is always grateful for her God-given talents and always humble about her success. She was the anchor for the Mustang team for the past four years, and always included all of her teammates in the success of the Lutheran North program. In other words she is a coach’s dream!”

Congratulations to Lauren, her family, and Coach Cardenas!

CONGRATULATIONS lAUREN, WE ARE SO PROUD TO CALL YOU A MUSTANG!
